Obituary for Jerry Purnell

Marion – Jerry Alan Purnell, 43, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2005 at 2:30 A.M. at his residence.
Jerry was born April 16, 1962 in Kankakee, Illinois to Robert & Patricia Ann (Hurley) Purnell.
He married Treva Mandrell on August 29, 1989 in Marion and she survives in Marion.
Jerry was a heavy equipment operator. He attended Grange Hall Baptist Church,
served his country in the Army, stationed in Germany.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 14, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion
with Rev. Kevin McNeely officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be
Wednesday, July 13, 2005 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Military Rites will be performed at the
graveside by VFW Post #1301 and American Legion Post #147 of Marion
